Clinics and other Services:
We provide the full range of services you
would expect from your Family Doctor (General Medical Services) plus
additional services including:
Influenza vaccination clinics are held each year in October.
Medicals:
Insurance, company and private medicals (HGV, PSV, Taxi, Pre-employment etc) can be arranged at the Surgery. Please ask at Reception for details.
Clinical Commissioning:
We are pleased to be active members of DacCom, our local commissioning organisation.
Consultancy:
We are proud of our management expertise and are very willing to share this with other Practices where appropriate. Over the past year, we have installed our document management system in several other Practices both locally and nationally. We have also written a number of magazine articles and given lectures, for medical products companies as well as for GP groups.
Group Therapy:
This service has been running since 2003 and Fernville is one of the few surgeries in the country that offer long-term group therapy for psychological issues such as depression and anxiety.
It is different from individual counselling in that it gives you an opportunity to meet with like-minded others facing difficult times. Their stories help us to feel less alone and offer a chance to view your own problem at a distance whilst sharing the similarities.
